| With a Bachelor's degree
from the University of Puerto Rico, majoring in Visual Arts, Jorge was
an Art teacher for 16 years and a teacher specializing in Educational
Technology for 14 more.
Using acrylic as his favorite medium, he has painted from pure abstracts to landscapes, folklore, still life, human figure, and portraits. All his works are inspired in Puerto Rico's varied and wonderful scenery, painted with an impressionistic palette or expressing the artist's internal sensations with the chromatic freedom of expressionism (both abstract and figurative). Con un bachillerato de la Universidad de Puerto Rico, concentración en artes visuales, Jorge fue Maestro de Arte por 16 años y, otros 14 más, Maestro Especialista en Tecnología Educativa. Con el acrílico como medio favorito, ha pintado desde el abstracto puro hasta paisajes, cuadros costumbristas, naturalezas muertas, figura humana y retratos. Todas las obras inspiradas en el colorido tropical de la variante campiña de Puerto Rico, pintadas utilizando una paleta impresionista o expresando las inquietudes internas del artista con la libertad cromática del expresionismo (tanto abstracto como figurativo). |
